What does SFP-ZAPA do?
SFP-ZAPA is one of the most successful collective management organizations in Poland. Since its establishment, it has consistently strengthened its position in the copyright market in Poland and its international position.
SFP-ZAPA has negotiated and signed agreements with public and private users, cooperates with many domestic and foreign organizations, and monitors the dynamic market of cable operators.
A fundamental element of our organization’s activity is the proper identification of audiovisual works, allowing prompt payment of royalties due to authors and producers, as well as supporting the fight against piracy in the circulation of film works.
On May 29, 1995, the Polish Filmmakers Association received a permit from the Minister of Culture and Art (DP.041/Z/13/95) for collective management of copyrights to audiovisual works. On this basis, the SFP created a cell within its structures called the Union of Authors and Audiovisual Producers, whose task is to act in accordance with the aforementioned authorization.
The primary goal of our organization is to protect the entities that have entrusted their repertoire to SFP-ZAPA.
