Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission (MWFC) is a regional film commission and an accessible service supporting public and international film crews in the heart of Poland.
Since 2013, the MWFC has operated within the Mazovia Institute of Culture – as part of the activities of the Mazovia Warsaw Film Fund.
Filmmakers and audiovisual artists filming in the Masovian Voivodeship – including cities such as Warsaw, Płock, Radom, Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, Żyrardów and Pułtusk – can receive organizational, location, and additional support from the MWFC. The Commission also offers assistance in contacting various entities (municipal services, location owners, local media, and companies) involved in film production, covering pre-production, shooting, and post-production.
The Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission’s mission is to provide the film crews working in our region with the following:
Due to its largest production base in Poland, as well as the infrastructure of the capital and the region, the Mazovia Film Commission serves as a guide, local advisor, and intermediary in the broadly defined production process. It promotes the cinematic qualities of Warsaw and the Mazovia region as attractive and welcoming locations for the most advanced film, television, and other audiovisual initiatives.
Furthermore, the Mazovia Film Commission supports numerous local film festivals (Warsaw Film Festival, Young Horizons, Serial Con), industry initiatives and events, and organizes various script competitions related to the region — projects such as ‘Script Wars’ and ‘Script Mentoring’ — and the book fair for filmmakers, ‘Film the Book’.
In addition, the Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission offers assistance with networking activities, including connecting screenwriters with producers, mentors, and script doctors.
The Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission is also a member of the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN).
