Biblioteka utworzona przy Uniwersytecie Warszawskim w roku 1817. Library was opened for the University of Warsaw. Since 15th December 1999 the entire library was moved to Dobra Street to a building erected according to design of Marek Budzynski and Zbigniew Badowski A building of total cubature of 260 155 m.
