Kozienice Palace

The Palace and Park complex in Kozienice is listed on the monument registry. It was built 1778-91 and designed by Francisdzek Placidi for King Stanilav August Poniatowski – renovated in 1839-65 for general Ivan Dehn. Later it was remodeled by Franciszek Arveuf, in French renaissance style, in 1896-1900. The complex is host of sculptures of King Stanislav times: boar hunting and bear hunting (sculptures are reconstructed). There is a pool in the yard, built in 1839-63, surrounded by columns in shape of true-love from Szydlowiec sandstone. English – style Park in the back of the palace. In the park you can finde destroyed cemetery of the Dehn family.
