Museum is in a building erected in 1924, according to design of Ciechanow architect, Jerzy Korczak. It is a multi-disciplinary museum (history, srta, archeology and etnography) which directed its activity to Mazovia mobility as late as in 1990. It collects archeological, etnographic, archive and military objects connected with the history of Ciechanów. Museum owns an interesting set of nobility portratis from 17th to 20th century, also pewterer and jewish ceremonial art.
