New Town in Warsaw

New Town in Warsaw was built on the verge of 14th and 15th century, north from the Old Twon and was concetrated arounf the new market. New Warsaw was a royal town of the Polish Kingdom.
Main street joining two parts of Warsaw is called Freta Street and it starts behind the Barbakan. This is where Maria Sklodowska – Curie grew up. Majority of monuments of the New Town was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt after.
