Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Warsaw

Museum in downtown Warsaw – Muarnow. It is the only institution of culture in Poland that registers 1000 years of history of Jews in Poland. The museum building was erected in 2009-2013, according to design of a Finnish architect: Rainer Mahlamaki. It was designed on a base of a square in a shape of a sześcian with glass walls. The outer part is built from glass panels and copper frame. Inside construction are steel pipes covered with concrete. The main hall is created by high, currigated walls. The museum is almost 13 000 square meters of space. The musueum is not only athe main exhibition space, but also a lecture/ conference hall for 480 people, temporary exhibition rooms, education center, information center, space for kids, cafe, and museum gift shop.
