The Authors’ Association ZAiKS

We are the largest collective rights management organization in Poland. We have more than 100 years of experience, knowledge and tools. Every year we transfer to creators many millions of zlotys of remuneration due to them. We associate composers, lyricists, screenwriters, playwrights, translators, visual artists, choreographers and creators of other arts, as well as music publishers. As an association, we conduct extensive social activities for the benefit of our members. We are also one of the largest patrons of culture in Poland.

To provide authors with compensation for the use of their works:

• we grant permission on behalf of the creator to use his works. We call this licensing.
  
• We collect author’s remuneration from companies, institutions and individuals who use creativity in their activities. We call this collection.
  
• The copyright remunerations collected in this way, called royalties, are appropriately divided (this is called repartition) and paid to the creators.
