Polsat Television is the first commercial station in Poland to break the nationwide monopoly of public television.
On October 5, 1993, Polsat Television received a license from the National Broadcasting Council for terrestrial broadcasting in Poland.
In 1994, Polsat received a license from the National Broadcasting Council for nationwide broadcasting.
