Pomiechowskie Forests grow on fertile moraine soil on both sides of the Wkra River, lower Narew, near Modlin. They are different to other green area of Mazovia because of unique landscape, different soils and plants – here ground moraines and river valleys are predominant. These are mainly mixed pine woods and mixed woods with many different species and rich lower part of greenery with thick undergrowth. Most popular species of treest are pines, oaks, larches and birch.
