Theatre was designed by Dominik Merlini, buil in the east wing of Wielka Oranzeria (old name Stara Pomaranczarnia) in 1786-1788. This pavillion is very simple and raw outside, but rich inside, which represent fine taste of Stanislav August. This monument is even more valuable as it was luckily spared during WWII and is currently one of the very few representatives of 18th-century royal theatre.
