The village was born on the verge of 18th and 19th century as Prussian – type of village in Osiceki Starostwo (eldery) in lands of Potocki family. The name of the village comes traditionally from its location on hills and in valleys or forest clearings, i.e. "holes" which in Polish is "nora" Now the village is a part of Mazovia Landscape Park.
